This jacket is a 1940's - 1950's inspired angled zip horsehide D-pocket Half Belt motorcycle jacket. It has a classic Half Belt back and genuine Worsted Wool Tweed lining. It is also available with cotton Flannel lining. It is executed in premium Horsehide with antique hardware.

 The Luftwaffe is a 1930's to 1940's military style leather pilot's jacket.

The design is sometimes called the "Cycliste" because they were French made jackets for bicycle riders.

The tapered and short jacket design was perfect in the cold and drafty cockpit of the early Messerschmitt warplanes and these jackets were adopted by a number of Luftwaffe pilots as a part of their uniform.

The trench coat was used by officers in WWI.  The style was dubbed "trench coat" by the front line soldiers in the trenches. The jackets of the era were in cotton and there was a revival of this style in the 1970's in leather.
